	The Grandmothers songs This is an album of basic recordings I made of Anne Hooper (Anne2Hearts). These songs are elemental for participation and nurturingl. As I worked with Anne I began to realise that there are places in humans so tender and benign, one might not dare own them. 	HEAD CLEANER I love it when artists rip profoundly into the great construct of this universe and Bernard Towers is a person that can do it. This is a simple recording made on cassette multitrack but what's important is the content - darkness, irony, dilemma, relationships, and the angels and demons, outside our sphere of knowing that are battling it out. My head aint clean and my heart aches. 	SPHERE OF MAGNETICK VIRTUE. I recorded this with CR (fragment records). Its mostly instrumental apart from the SeaSide Sermon. CR and I set up stations of instruments and machines and improvised until a theme emerged. This was a dark sad time for me and this album is charged with this atmosphere.	Angle Land. Seaside Sermon. 	THISTHING I made these songs after I fell out of love with my band at the time (the Corruptors). It was a kind of demo for other musicians, proposing what to do next. These recordings are some of my best songs and were about as free as I ever got with a studio production. Far from heralding a new musical adventure it marked the beginning of turn away from music. The perennial subjects of death, politics, perception, god, mystery and fear are here. The lyrics to ABDUCTEE were written by Heathcote Williams. 	Venetia This is a recording of Venetia I engineered from her composition and wild improvisation. In the freedom of the improvisation emerged a mysterious sound and space which is the gift of her talent. Her vocal training and psychedelic consciousness has made this wonderful record possible. 	LiViNg dAYLighT The greatest part of this album is sketches - ideas for songs given grander productions (beast, progress). Lyrics are plentiful. Some songs are streams of improvised narrative (Storm panic, Science). Five musicians were recorded in various arrangements. Analogue tape-loops provide rhythms and analogue synths make it proper pre millennium. 	Lost Highway This band are old friends of mine. They asked me to do a demo recording to send to gig promoters. I set the recording going using just two microphones and they played till the end of the evening. There are some wacky songs here, may be a bit blue grass, a bit bonzo, performed with simple instrumentation. Intriguing and funny I felt some of these recordings well worth publishing on line and here they are.
